Democrat Susan Crawford and her supporting groups spent over $40 million, with $22 million coming directly from her campaign. The remaining $18 million was contributed by various liberal organizations. Major donors included Illinois Governor JB Pritzker and George Soros, both of whom supported the Wisconsin Democratic Party.

Republicans, including Brad Schimel and his supporting groups, spent a total of $50 million on their campaign. In addition, Brad Schimel personally contributed $11 million. Significant support also came from organizations such as the American PAC, which is associated with Elon Musk and contributed $12 million, and Building American Futures, which added another $6 million. Other notable donors included Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce, Fair Courts America, and Americans for Prosperity.
